Without forgetting the importance of human capital, essential to face the changes of the future.

The president and CEO of the WTTC, Gloria Guevara, said that "Spain is a world leader in its commitment to use tourism as an engine of economic growth and job creation. This initiative reflects the policies implemented by the Spanish Government over the last few years to create the right conditions for the long-term sustainable growth of the sector."

An event highlight, undoubtedly, was the presentation of former USA President Barack Obama, who said that "traveling allows you to open your mind and recognize yourself in people from other countries". He also comment the great opportunity it represents for tourism to work with young people, he said "young people also travel differently because they seek experiences, they love meeting people from other places, their music, their food... They are more innovative and creative, they know instinctive way that the world is global and they are more predisposed to collaborate with other people, even if they do not think like them".
