THR presented the Tourism Strategic Plan for the Coffee Cultural Landscape

The past Wednesday November 5th César Angel, delegate of the firm THR and Nature Trips manager, presented the results of the study on the tourism potential of the municipalities that are part of the Coffee Cultural Landscape, at the spectacular Recinto del Pensamiento auditorium at Colombia.

Julian Gutiérrez, Caldas governor, attend the event to open the session. Tourism entrepreneurs, the coffee guild, institutions, everyone involved with tourism in the department and the community in general attend to know in depth the results of the work done by THR in collaboration with FONTUR.

"The study presented the tourism product restructure of the Coffee Cultural Landscape, emphasizing the potential of each of the municipalities involved in the PCC," said Patricia Pilar Ruiz Vera, Secretary of Economic Development.

"The region allows specialization in offered products ... Producing a delicious coffee, we ensure the promise tourists to taste the best coffee in the world." said César Angel. "The tour guides are the ones who will end up generating the value of the experience. We still have a lot to do, but we are on a good path," he added.

The results of this study will let the public sector and the private industry work in connection with the promotion and marketing of the tourism product in the 17 municipalities of the department involved in the project to strengthen this sector of the economy. The Coffee Cultural Landscape is composed by 51 municipalities of Caldas, Quindio, Risaralda and Valle del Cauca.

During the event was also presented the catalog with Routes and Experiences produced by THR for the Coffee Cultural Landscape titled "Journey to the source of the best coffee in the world".
