THR has been designated to develop Montenegro’s Strategic Marketing Plan of Tourism

The Ministry of Sustainable Development and Tourism of Montenegro started to work on the Strategic Marketing Plan of Tourism for the period 2017 to 2021 and has selected the Spanish company THR Innovative Tourism Advisors for this project.

Montenegro Marketing PlanThe Marketing Strategy development also requires the participation of representatives of the National Tourism Organization, local tourism organizations, representatives of the tourism industry (Chamber of Commerce, CTU, hotel industry, travel agencies, airlines, universities, etc.), to which THR presented the basic guidelines for the development of this important document.
Minister of Sustainable Development and Tourism, Branimir Gvozdenovic, presented the most significant results in the tourism industry for 2016 and previous year, while also pointing out to the areas that need to be improved in the future.

He also said that the objective Tourism Development Strategy for 2020 objective is forMontenegro tobecome a high quality tourist destination with a year-round diversified offer which will contribute to increasing employment, poverty reduction and balanced development.

THR’s project manager, Sonia Huerta, explained that the company will define strategic marketing and planning guidelines for the development of Montenegrin tourism in the five-year period, through a comprehensive analysis of global trends, demand, condition of supply, competition, communication techniques, existing offer, its communication and promotion.
