THR explains a case study at the 'Sustainable Development Network Forum'

The Tourism Technical Conference sponsored by ICEX as part of the Sustainable Development Network Forum 2013 at the World Bank in Washington, allowed various Spanish companies present different case studies in the development of sustainable tourism.

In addition to exposing one of the most important projects of THR, Javier Gonzalez (COO) said: "The sessions have given the opportunity for companies like us to meet with major international organizations such as the World Bank, the OEA and the Inter-American Bank of Development".

This meeting responds to the objectives of the Ministry of Tourism, collected in the National Integrated Plan for Tourism 2012-2015 that supports the transfer of tourism knowledge. Therefore, it has initiated a process to promote the internationalization of Spanish tourism companies, accompanied by the opening of new markets and identifying projects.

The Spanish companies had the opportunity to know the functioning of the IFIs International Financial Institutions), their project portfolios, the strategies in tourism of the development banks, while identified potential partners from companies, NGOs and American academic institutions who develop projects around the world related to the tourism sector.

Among the participating companies and Spanish institutions that have been introduced to the IFIs and used its main case study were: Paradores, Ayuntamiento de Barcelona, Ayuntamiento de Bilbao, CIc-Tourgune, The Globaldit, CEGOS España, Tourism & Leisure, IDOM, Fundación Metrópoli, Turismo de Barcelona, and THR Innovative Tourism Advisors.
