THR concludes training sessions for Cabo Verde's tourism sector

Throughout the months of April and May 2021, training sessions were held for members of Cabo Verde's public and private tourism sector. The sessions organized by the Cabo Verde Tourism Institute were attended by representatives of the General Directorate of Tourism and Transport, the Ministry of Tourism and Transport, the Tourism Fund, representatives of some Municipal Chambers, and other public sector stakeholders, as well as private sector companies, such as agencies and tour operators.

The three sessions covered content related to topics of Digital Marketing applied to Tourism, Tourism Products and Experiences Development, Project Management and Strategy Implementation, and were conducted both in a hybrid format (face-to-face and virtual), as well as 100% virtual, which favored a higher level of attendance and participation.

This training is part of the project for the elaboration of the Strategic Marketing Plan and an Operational Marketing Plan for the tourism destination, commissioned to THR for the Cabo Verde Tourism Institute, with funding from the World Bank, which will be completed in the coming weeks.

These plans are being developed in conjunction with the Cabo Verde Tourism Institute and a high involvement of the public sector and private industry through different participation mechanisms, such as workshops, personal interviews and surveys to various stakeholders in the tourism sector of the country.
