Strategy for tourism development in Laguna de Marchica

Located on the outskirts of the city of Nador, the Laguna de Marchicha has an area of 115 km2 of sea and over 60 kilometres of coastline. It also offers exceptional beaches and high quality spaces near natural urban areas which have had an uncontrolled expansion. Therefore, they needed to be properly defined and developed.
THR had to design 6 mixed-use resorts at the Laguna de Marchica, an outline as to how the Atalayoun Peninsula would be distributed.
The total number of beds would be over 88,000, with 11 hotels distributed in 1,474 hectares.
THR worked on the development of the business model, the tourist attractions and infrastructure, the organisation of the destination and the tourism product, as well as the plan of water exploitation for nautical uses.
