More than 500 representatives of the Greek tourism industry met

The Greek hotel management company HotelBrain held the company’s 7th Annual Meeting 2016 in the 11th HORECA, Saturday 13 February at the Metropolitan Expo Exhibition Centre at Athens, Greece.

HotelbrainThis year, the HotelBrain Annual Meeting attracted more than 500 representatives of the Greek hotel industry, including hotel owners, tourism professionals and other key players of the tourism market in Greece.

It also welcomed Mr. Eulogio Bordas, Owner / President of THR Innovative Tourism Advisors and former President of UNWTO Affiliate Members, who presented the latest trends and practices of the international tourism market.

Turbulence in business models = Opportunities
“Companies must face one of the biggest problems, a great turbulence in the business models because they are old. For the past 40 years we have been innovating at a very slow pace and the work we didn’t do in the past, must be done now, and quickly” Mr. Bordas said.

He added that in the upcoming years, a small revolution will take place in terms of tourism business models, that will include:

  • Developing new segmentation strategies

  • Improving the customer value proposition

  • Repositioning brands

  • Capitalizing on key partners

  • Extensive use of Digital Marketing


The program of the meeting also included a 2015 assessment of the hotel management company - statistics & figures of all HotelBrain’s departments, as well as a presentation of the company's 2016 plans.
