A Spanish investment group was granted a concession to develop a high-altitude resort, for mixed residential, hotel and commercial use in the town of Cerler. Cerler, located in the Benasque valley, is the highest village in the Aragonese Pyrenees, The slope of its ski resort is the most significant in the Spanish Pyrenees. Built in 1970, its highest ski slope (the Gallinero) goes up to an altitude of 2,728 m. This initiative was presented as a unique opportunity to promote a project, in an extraordinary natural environment, which might become a benchmark for projects of a similar scope. |
